1. Who we are?
A non-profit organization aiming to make a social change through sport.
Union Star Foundation is a registered company in Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen under company number VerR 5598.
The objective of Union Star Foundation e. V. is the organization and implementation of projects to support democratic and
humanist values through sport and training. We believe that being a common ground for both those who play and those who
watch, sport is a powerful tool to get in touch with other people, create and empower communities, promote gender equality,
build social integration and inclusion, or help children to fulfil their potential.
2. What information do we collect?
We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you make donations or express an interest in obtaining
information about us or our services, when you participate in activities on the Website or otherwise when you contact us.
The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Website, the choices you
make, and the features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:
Personal Information Provided by You. We collect names, email addresses, and other similar information.
Payment Data. We keep financial records of your donations. We do not store your banking or credit card information after initial
processing, e.g. to set up your standing order. All payment data is processed by Donorbox, Stripe and PayPal. You may find their

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to

maintain the security and operation of our Website, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

work and to process your financial donations to our organization.

business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate
business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or tor compliance with our legal
obligations. We indicate the specific processing grounds we rely on next to each purpose listed below.

purposes, if this is in accordance with your marketing preferences. For example, when expressing an interest in obtaining

determine the popularity of certain content, pages or features, and better understand online activity. Unless described in this
notice, we do not share, sell, rent or trade any of your information with third parties for their promotional purposes. We have
contracts in place with our data processors, which are designed to help safeguard your personal information. This means that they
cannot do anything with your personal information organization apart from us. They also commit to protect the data they hold on
our behalf and to retain it for the period unless we have instructed them to do it they will also not share your personal

6. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific
information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.
7. How long do we keep your information?
We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise
required by law.
It is our policy to retain donor financial information for a period of 7 years after your last donation. Any donor's personal data will
also be retained for this period. General personal data of supporters who have not been financial donors will only be retained for
as long as they are in receipt of our prayer letters, dispatch magazines or other marketing materials.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize
such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives),
then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. Do we collect information from minors?
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age we do not knowingly solicit data
from or market to children under 18 years of age.
By using the website, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to
such minor dependents use of the Website. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been
collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you

10. Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DN ) feature or setting
you can activate to Signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected.
At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do
not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be
tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that
practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
11. Do California residents have specific privacy rights?
Yes, If you are a resident or California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code section 1/98.83, also known as the shine The Light law, permits our users who are California residents to
request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories or personal information (if any) we
disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties, with which we shared
personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a
request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Website, you have the right to
request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Website. To request removal of such data, please contact us
using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that
you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the website, but please be aware that the data
may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g. Backups, etc.).

The courts of Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from or related
to a visit to our Websites or a data breach.
However, we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Website conditions in your
country of residence or any other relevant country. The law of Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen governs these terms.
